For more than 90 years, the Junior League of Charlottesville (JLC) has brought women together to create meaningful, lasting change in the Charlottesville community. We are an organization committed to advancing women’s leadership through volunteer service, collaboration, and hands-on training.

BECOME A DRIVING FORCE OF CHANGE WITHIN YOUR COMMUNITY

Each year, the JLC trains first-year members (called Provisional Members) to be effective volunteers and leaders in our community. Our League Year runs from September through May, and during that time New Members will learn about the League’s structure and programs through volunteering and hands-on training opportunities.

Our recruitment season is July–August for the fall class and November–December for our spring class. If you’re interested in joining us, please fill out the interest form (link below) so we have your information on file. We’re looking forward to meeting you!

HOW TO JOIN

1. When our application is open, you will create a Prospect profile in our web portal, Member Essentials.
2. Attend a Provisional Recruitment event to find out more about the Junior League!
3. Submit your member application.
4. Once accepted, complete your dues payment.

JUNIOR LEAGUE OF CHARLOTTESVILLE  ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be 21 years old by June 1 of your application year to be eligible for membership.
• No member sponsorship is required, just a commitment to serving the Charlottesville community and a desire to develop personal and professional skills.
